Care that looks beyond the care need.

BAAS Zorg supports people at home with professional care and attention to the whole person — physical, mental, emotional, social and what gives life meaning.

How can we help?

Good care starts with understanding what matters to you.

A care need is rarely only about a medical task. It is also about independence, trust, daily routines, family, resilience and quality of life. That is why we look together at what you need and what you would like to continue doing for yourself.

Care is also about relationships

Not only doing what is needed. Also seeing what truly matters.

We do not want people to feel reduced to a care visit. That is why we work with respect for autonomy, habits, background, social network and the small things that make a day meaningful.

Quality & safety

Quality independently validated.

At BAAS Zorg, quality is not an aspiration on paper but a demonstrable standard in daily practice. During the inspection by the Dutch Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) on 12 June 2025, all eighteen standards assessed received a positive rating. The findings reflect an organisation in which professional expertise, commitment and person-centred care are structurally embedded, with transparency, professional autonomy and continuous improvement forming part of everyday care delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers about care at home.

Clear explanations without unnecessary care jargon.

What is community nursing?

Community nursing is personal and nursing care provided in your home. Depending on your needs, this can include personal care, wound care, medication support and other nursing procedures.

What does BAAS Zorg mean by holistic care?

Holistic care means looking at the person as a whole. Alongside physical health, we pay attention to mental and emotional resilience, social connection and, where it matters to the person, meaning and spiritual wellbeing.

Does BAAS Zorg provide home care in Arnhem and the surrounding area?

BAAS Zorg is based in Arnhem and provides several forms of care and support at home. Contact us to discuss whether your location and care needs fall within our current service area.

Do I need an assessment for community nursing?

For community nursing under the Dutch Health Insurance Act, care needs are assessed and formally indicated by a community nurse. This assessment forms the basis for appropriate care arrangements.

What is the difference between Zvw, Wmo and Wlz?

The Health Insurance Act (Zvw) is relevant, among other things, to community nursing. The Social Support Act (Wmo) enables municipalities to arrange support for living independently at home. The Long-term Care Act (Wlz) is intended for people who permanently need intensive care or continuous supervision.

Can BAAS Zorg support people with dementia?

Yes. BAAS Zorg provides dementia case management, giving the person and those close to them a trusted point of contact for guidance, coordination and arranging appropriate support.

Does BAAS Zorg provide palliative care at home?

Yes. Palliative care at home focuses on comfort, quality of life and support for the person and those close to them when cure is no longer the main goal.

How can I arrange care with BAAS Zorg?

Contact us by telephone or through the contact form. We will discuss your circumstances and explain which care, assessment and funding route may be appropriate.
